Check In
Students are brought down by class or grade based on a predetermined schedule and check in with our onsite coordinator.
The Optical Academy® Award-Winning Mobile Vision Team arrives at your school with state-of-the-art equipment to provide FREE vision screenings, mobile eye exams, and 500+ eyeglasses for students to choose from. With our onsite lab option, students' glasses are made the same day.

Optical Academy partners with school administrators, health departments, and sponsors to bring FREE eye exams and eyewear directly to students at their schools. Everything we need rolls in with our team — exam lanes, frame boards, dispensing stations, and our Mobile Vision Lab parked just outside.

Students are brought down by class or grade based on a predetermined schedule and check in with our onsite coordinator.

Technicians perform all pretesting — autorefraction, color vision tests, and refractions — to identify students who need a full exam.

The licensed optometrist confirms each prescription so students can move on to choose their eyewear with confidence.

Students browse 500+ frame styles. Our team helps each student find a pair they feel comfortable and confident in — pre-fit right then and there.

Eyewear is processed the same day in our Onsite Mobile Lab, or shipped to the school within 2–4 weeks for higher prescriptions.
Students receive exams alongside their friends, making eye care a fun shared experience.
Parents no longer struggle to find availability for an eye doctor appointment.
Students are seen at their place of convenience — and skip the office wait.
Students get their glasses and return to class the same day.

Did you know you can sponsor an Optical Academy Glasses2Classes™ onsite event for a school in your very own community? Give back this year by funding a Glasses2Classes™ program for students right at their school — bringing children the vision care they need to succeed.
Become a SponsorChoose a date and time frame for your Optical Academy onsite visit. A full school day historically yields the best attendance. Pick a large space such as a gymnasium, cafeteria, or auditorium.
We need a student list with IDs, dates of birth, and grade levels to prepare forms. Your onsite coordinator helps choose the most efficient way to bring students down (by grade, period, etc.). Passive consent forms are distributed so all students are opted in unless they return an opt-out form.
The Vision Team arrives one hour before start to set up inside the school. The Mobile Lab parks outside. Students are screened, examined, and choose eyewear. Forms are distributed for both passing and failing students to educate parents and staff on their visual abilities.
We send pass/fail and eyewear reports to designated administration. Any eyeglasses not dispensed onsite are mailed to the school within 2 weeks.
